About
You are welcome to Change…
Change is forged in the fire of business; Technology is my anvil, and I must be the hammer…
Business and technology do not naturally or neatly fit together… they collide in a graceless dance in which we must uncover its unique rhythm and harmony.
This site is built upon the premise of offering a platform to share ideas and start conversations. This site focuses upon change and shifting paradigms, offering perceptions of how technology can be applied to business problems while maintaining a people-friendly perspective.
ChangeForge covers a wide variety of topics, but will primarily focus on strategies revolving around bridging technology and business, hosting authors from different walks of life and offering brain-fodder on many different fronts.
About the Founder:
Hello, I’m Ken Stewart, creator, author and editor at ChangForge.com. I have worked in the technology field for 11 years. I recently worked as the Director of Technology for Kearns Business Solutions, helping to grow the company until its acquisition by Sharp Business Systems in November, 2008. As part of the management team at Kearns, I successfully led many client services and technology-based initiatives in support of associates and clients - operationalizing technology strategy as well as interacting directly with clients.
I started my career in 1997 with the United States Marine Corps managing a several-thousand user network. Prior to joining Kearns, I worked as the Information Technologies Manager at a worldwide manufacturing company helping with both technology and marketing initiatives.
The focus of my career has been centered around innovation and building bridges to connect technology with business objectives. Having worked in both very large and very small businesses, I really enjoy working with growing medium-sized organizations. I have held positions in helpdesk, network administration, systems administration, web development, project management, business analysis, sales support, strategic partner development, and management.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Network Management, and have completed management training provided by Riordan & Associates. Additionally, I was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Navy Commendation Medal during my time of active service.
